Arrival

Day 1-2

Tarangire National Park – Elephants & Oliver’s Camp

Your adventure begins with a warm welcome at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), where your private driver-guide will meet you. From here, you’ll be transferred by road to Tarangire National Park, famous for having the largest elephant population in Tanzania and over 500 bird species. The park’s landscapes are stunning—granite ridges, sweeping savannahs dotted with baobab trees, river valleys, and the wildlife-rich Silale Swamp near Oliver’s Camp.

During your stay, enjoy guided game drives, walking safaris, and even night drives to spot rare nocturnal creatures. For something truly memorable, rise early for a hot-air balloon safari, floating over herds of wildlife at dawn.

At Oliver’s Camp, you’ll find a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Established in 1992, it has 15 spacious tents divided into two wings, each with a lounge and dining area overlooking the floodplains of the Tarangire River. The tents feature en suite bathrooms, flushing toilets, and both indoor and outdoor showers. After an active day, relax on your private deck or cool off in the swimming pool while enjoying the peace of the bush.

Day 3–5

Ngorongoro Highlands – The Crater & Cultural Encounters

After breakfast and morning sounds of the bush, transfer to The Highlands in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey takes you up the Rift Valley escarpment, with a stop to admire sweeping views of the Ngorongoro Crater before reaching camp.

Perched at over 8,000 feet, The Highlands features eight futuristic-looking domed suites surrounded by forest. Each has a fireplace for the cool evenings and an en suite bathroom with hot water and showers. From here, you can enjoy scenic walks around the nearby Olmoti Crater.

One morning, head out for a full-day game drive into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your seven-seater safari vehicle is designed for comfort, with pop-up roofs, charging points, and fridges for drinks. On the crater floor, you’ll have a picnic lunch while watching for lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo, and countless other animals.

Your stay also includes a hike into Empakaai Crater, where a soda lake attracts flamingos, and a visit to a Maasai village, offering your children both cultural learning and treasured memories. Back at camp, enjoy meals made with fresh, locally sourced produce, served indoors or on the outdoor deck.

Day 6–8

Serengeti National Park – Big Cats & Sayari Camp

On Day 6, fly from the Manyara airstrip to the Northern Serengeti. Here you’ll be welcomed to Sayari Camp, one of the most celebrated safari lodges in East Africa. The camp sits close to the Mara River, the stage for the dramatic wildebeest migration crossings (depending on the season). Even outside migration months, the area is rich in wildlife—lion, leopard, cheetah, elephants, hippos, rhinos, and hundreds of bird species.

Sayari Camp offers 15 bright, spacious tented suites with walk-in showers, outdoor bathtubs overlooking the plains, and wraparound verandas for wildlife viewing right from your room. For extra privacy and luxury, Sayari Retreats provide a personal chef, private safari vehicle, and guide.

During your stay, enjoy twice-daily game drives, walking safaris, and cultural visits to meet the local Kuria people. You may also choose a thrilling hot-air balloon ride over the Serengeti, followed by a champagne breakfast in the bush. Evenings are perfect for sharing stories at the Sayari bar as the sun sets over the savannah.

Day 9

Farewell to the Serengeti

Wake up to the birdsong of the Serengeti and enjoy one last delicious breakfast. After heartfelt goodbyes to the friendly camp team, transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), ready for your journey home. You’ll leave Tanzania with memories of breathtaking wildlife, warm hospitality, and unforgettable family moments.
