We are proud — and deeply humbled — to announce that Nandi Adventures has officially been awarded Travelife Partner status, a respected international recognition for sustainability and corporate social responsibility in the global travel industry.
This achievement is a celebratory moment for our entire team. From the very beginning, long before we knew the formal language of sustainability, we were guided by a simple belief: travel should uplift people, protect nature, and create lasting, positive change.
We did not always know the exact roadmap to joining Travelife, but we stayed committed to what felt right — honoring wildlife, supporting local communities, reducing our footprint, and creating journeys that truly safeguard the places we love.
And this year, we took a decisive and transformative step by officially beginning our Travelife certification journey. The process challenged us, strengthened our systems, and brought even greater alignment between our values and our operations.
Today, receiving the Travelife Partner award feels both energizing and deeply affirming. It represents a global acknowledgment of the values we have lived since day one — and it encourages us to keep raising the bar for responsible, ethical travel in Uganda.

The Travelife Partner award acknowledges tourism companies that demonstrate long-term commitment to responsible travel and continuous improvement. To receive this recognition, Nandi Adventures complied with more than 100 rigorous criteria covering:
- Sustainable office and operational practices
- Ethical supplier and partner standards
- Environmental and biodiversity protection
- Community empowerment and fair labor relations
- Transparent communication with travelers
- Alignment with ISO 26000 Corporate Social Responsibility themes
Travelife is supported by more than 35 national travel associations worldwide, including ABTA (UK), ANVR (Netherlands), PATA (Asia), FTT (South Africa), SMAL (Finland), UHPA (Croatia), JARTA (Japan), APAVT (Portugal), and many others.
For a boutique, purpose-driven Ugandan safari company, standing among these leaders is both humbling and inspiring.

For us at Nandi Adventures, this milestone is emotional.
From day one, being part of Travelife was a dream—something we aspired to but weren’t sure how to reach. Yet we kept showing up, quietly doing the work that aligned with our purpose: protecting the wild, empowering local voices, and curating journeys that leave Uganda better than we found it.
Receiving the Travelife Partner award now feels like a meaningful affirmation that we are on the right path.

What’s Next? Travelife Certified
The Travelife Partner award is Stage 2 in a three-level program:
- Travelife Engaged
- Travelife Partner (Our current level)
- Travelife Certified (The highest level — full certification with audit)
Receiving Travelife Partner (Stage 2) is an important milestone, but it is not the final destination. We are already preparing to move to Travelife Certified, the highest standard. This next step includes deeper reporting, stronger environmental action, and an onsite audit — and we welcome the challenge.
Our commitment is long-term. Our promise to improve never expires.

We will keep strengthening our sustainability practices through deeper community partnerships, more responsible supplier selection, cleaner operations, and more transparent guest communication.
